2023 Scholarship Winners

3&2 Scholarship- Parker Volski, Barton County Community College

Parker Volski is the 2023 Recipient of the 3&2 Scholarship Award. This scholarship was established in 1987. Its purpose is to offer scholarships providing financial assistance to qualified, graduating, high school seniors while attending college. They must be connected or formerly connected with 3&2 as a player, umpire or staff member for a sustainable period of time and shown demonstrable evidence in giving back to 3&2 and the game of baseball.

More on Parker:

Parker and the Volski family transplanted to Shawnee, KS from the Cincinnati, OH area about 8-9 years ago. Parker still holds strong allegiance to the Bengals even when going head to head with the Chiefs! Parker played most of his baseball career in Kansas City with the Natural Baseball Academy and eventually Mill Valley High School, where he was a stand out left-handed pitcher and position player for both.

With a keen eye for the strike zone and unflappable attitude on the field as a player or official, Parker umpired for many years with us, starting at machine pitch and working all the way up the ranks.

Parker will continue his academic studies and baseball career at one of the top junior college programs in the country, Barton County, this fall.

Loran's commitment to the youth of this area was exemplified by the sponsoring and coaching that he did for various sports teams. As a member of the 3&2 Baseball Club, he was a sincere and inspirational leader of baseball teams for sixteen years.

More on Jackson-

Jackson is from Shawnee, KS and grew up playing at 3&2 since the age of 7. Just as Jackson grew as a player, he also paralleled that growth as an official with us here at 3&2. Jackson is continuing his academic career at the University of Nebraska.
