On our 75th Anniversary Celebration Night, 3&2 was honored to induct six new members to our Wall of Legends at the East Complex. Each Honoree was presented a bronze plaque, which will be installed on the Legends wall at the East Complex. They also received gold rings and their very own baseball cards to commemorate the moment and thank them for their service. The 2025 Honorees included:
Dick Jenkins – Dick served three terms as President of 3&2 as he guided it through the West Complex expansion project in the late 1990’s. Thank you for your vision of providing greater opportunities for the youth of our community to enjoy the game and user in the next generation of 3&2 history.
Kevin Winters – Kevin spent more than 50 years at 3&2 in various capacities including as a player, umpire, coach and board member, where he served and supported 3&2 for more than 28 consecutive years. Thank you for your lifetime of service, support and involvement to the betterment of 3&2.
Steve Gripp – As an umpire and umpire supervisor for more than 50 years, Steve has seen everything on the baseball diamonds at 3&2 and remembers all of it! With a quick wit and deep knowledge of the rules, Steve is able to untangle complicated game situations and explain and enforce the rules for fair play. Thank you, “Gripper”!
Phil Stutheit – Phil started as a player at 3&2 in the 1970’s and began umpiring in 1981. With his fair and even temperament on the field and mentoring young umpires, Phil has been a key to 3&2’s success for more than four decades. Thank you, Phil, for your years of dedicated and professional service to 3&2.
Richard Trites – Richard has been a fixture at 3&2 as a coach and field manager since the 1980’s. Richard also worked as an office manager for 3&2, creating the club’s process for assigning practice field permits for 100s of teams. If a practice field in the community because unplayable, you might find Richard out there restoring them on his own. Thank you, Richard, for your outstanding service to the game of baseball both inside and outside 3&2!
Tom Gray – Tom served as the Facilities Director for more than two decades, spanning the time frame to include the construction of the West Complex, the renovation of field 1 to a stadium field and the installation of turf on the East Complex fields. Tom poured his blood, sweat and tears into the 3&2 program, where he also played and coached. Tom, thank you for everything you’ve given to provide the community with quality facilities.
