Lottery / Reservation Procedures for Practice Fields

The 3&2 Baseball Club of Johnson County is pleased to be able to provide league teams with practice fields for the Spring/Summer season.  Based on increased field demand, increased maintenance costs, input from coaches and the direction of our Board, the following procedures will be followed for practice field reservations for 2019.

  • Practice field application process will open December 15, 2018.
  • Teams must complete and submit the “Practice Field Intent” form and pay the $10 administrative fee to be considered for the lottery draw. In the event that 3&2 cannot honor your request and issue your team a practice permit, a full refund will be issued of this fee.
  • The complete grid of available practice fields will be available January 31, 2019 at 5pm.
  • The deadline to enter the lottery draw is Friday, February 1, 2019 by NOON.
  • Permits will be issued at the 3&2 Coaches Clinic on February 9, 2019.  Teams unable to make the February 9th event will need to send a team representative to guarantee their slot.
  • Please note you will need a copy of your team roster from the 3&2 site (with at least 9 paid players) and practice field rental fee payment in full to complete your reservation and receive your permit. Those that do not meet these qualifications will lose their slot in the lottery.
  • Teams unable to get their payment in or otherwise enter the lottery will be able to request a practice field using the general application process beginning February 12, 2019. Teams must have at least 9 paid players on their roster before a practice field can be obtained.
  • Teams can only select age appropriate practice fields.
  • All practice field reservations must be made in person.  No phone reservations will be accepted.
  • Practices can begin the week of March 11, 2019 and will conclude the week of July 4th.

    • Standing water present on any part of the field that cannot be removed without causing damage to the field.
    • Muddy conditions that will not dry by the start of practice.
    • When water can be seen or heard with a footstep while walking on the field, any impression of a footprint is left in the surface of the field, and/or water gathers around the sole of the shoe or cleat on any portion of the field.
