Federal League a Great Option for High School-Aged Players
by posted 03/02/2020

Get Great Competition in the Federal League in 2017

3&2 Baseball will again offer a spring/summer league for those players who either didn't try out for the high school team or perhaps didn't make the high school team, but still want to play baseball. Some rosters may have players who did make their high school teams but that will be limited.  This is one of the most unique and popular high school baseball leagues in the city.  If you're unfamiliar or unaffiliated with any of the teams currently signed up, register as a free agent and we'll work with you to help place you on a team or form a team.  Terrific players from across the metro didn't make their high school team typically due to limited capacity and/or budget on traditional high school teams.  Don't let this deter you from continuing your career either for further development or fun.

Teams will attempted to be formed specifically by high school or similar geographic area but not limited to a particular class level. For example, freshmen could be on the same team as juniors. If we have enough teams, we will split them into an older or more competitive division and a younger or less competitive division.

3&2 expects that at least one team will be formed from most of the local high schools including the Olathe, Shawnee Mission, Blue Valley, DeSoto school districts as well as the area parochial schools.

Managers of teams are needed so if you know of someone who is interested in coaching one of these teams, please call 3&2 at 888-8055 ext 303. Standings will be kept.

Season Starts:

Late May

Number of Games:

14

Cost:

Team fees of $2999.  Teams provide own equipment and uniforms.

Roster size:

Minimum of 11, unlimited maximum but each player must appear on the teams' roster.

Games Played:

On Saturday evenings and Sundays during the spring and Mondays and Thursdays during the summer.

Purpose:

To allow players who might not have had a chance otherwise to continue their high school baseball careers.

Registration starts / ends: January 1 / May 7
