2011 Event Summary

The coaches clinic in 2011 was attended by more than 250 3&2 managers and coaches and the event did not disappoint. Shawnee Mission East Varsity Baseball Coach Jarrod Ryherd facilitated the event this year and varsity coaches from nine different area high schools led sessions on targeted baseball topics, such as team defense, base running, practice organization, and hitting, pitching, and catching fundamentals. Each session touched on terminology, philosophy, and incorporating practice drills for desired results.

In addition to coaching knowledge, drill recommendations and other tips from the coaches, equipment and service vendors, such as Nill Bros, 68 Inside Sports, Royals Baseball, Mizuno, Worth, Louisville Slugger, Rawlings, Under Armor, Russell Athletic, and others provided the coaches with detailed product information, recommendations, and deep discounts. At every break, 3&2 (2 tourney entry give aways), the varsity coaches (baseball gear), and the vendors (numerous products) gave away great door prizes.
