About the camp

The first two weeks of Vikings baseball camp will focus on all facets of baseball with the exception of pitching and catching.  The camp will also include situational work and defensive alignment using the SM West system. The third week concentrates solely on either hitting or pitching and catching.  Please note that you can enroll in as many sessions of the camp as you desire as long as you are in the appropriate age category.  There are a limited number of spots so please enroll early.

About the instructor Camp instructor

Camp instructor Todd Reed is in his 8th year as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Shawnee Mission West High School and his 13th year coaching at the high school level. Under Coach Reed, the Vikings won the Regional Title in 2003 and 2006, marking two state tournament appearances in 7 years. Coach Reed’s philosophy is building a program based on great character, academics and fundamentally sound baseball players. Coach Reed played baseball at the collegiate level for Cowley County Community College (‘90 and ‘91) as well as Pittsburg State University ('92 and '93). Coach Reed, his staff and players are looking forward to developing the young area players to become the future of the Shawnee Mission West baseball program.
