About the camp
The morning sessions of camp will focus on all facets of baseball. The afternoon concentrates solely on hitting. About the instructor
Camp instructor Rich Kuzydym will begin his 25th year as head coach of the SMNW baseball program. As a head coach, Rich’s Northwest teams have appeared in 17 regional finals – winning 14: 14 state baseball appearances – finishing third five times and fourth once; and winning state championships in 1990, 1991 & 1993. He was 6A Coach of the Year in 1991 and National District 5 Coach of the Year in 1993. Coach Kuzydym and his staff are looking forward to developing the young area players who are the future of the Shawnee Mission Northwest baseball program. Where is the camp? Due to the construction at Northwest this summer, the baseball camp will be at a different location. The June 2-5 and June 9-12 morning camps will held at Gum Springs Park which is located on 67th street between Neiman and Quivira. All players meet at Field C. The hitting camp will be held at the 3&2 complex. All players meet at Field 2. What do I bring to the camp? Where can I get more information? Rainout Line The decision to cancel camp because of rain will be made at 8:15am. |
