About the camp Camp one will be three consecutive Monday’s focusing on all aspect of pitching & catching fundamentals. Camp two will be on three consecutive Tuesday’s focusing on hitting specifics and fundamentals. Camp three will be on three consecutive Wednesday’s and will focus on fundamentals of infield and outfield play.
About the instructor
Jeff Strickland is entering his third year as head coach at Mill Valley. Before becoming the head coach at Mill Valley Coach Strickland spent five years as the Assistant Varsity baseball coach at Mill Valley. In addition to playing both high school and college baseball Coach Strickland spent seven years as an assistant coach at Winnetonka High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Helping Coach Strickland with the camps will be members of the Mill Valley coaching staff and other outside instructors that are currently coaching or have coached at the college level. Coach Strickland and his staff are looking forward to having the opportunity to teach the fundamentals of baseball to potential Jaguar athletes.
Who can attend the camp?
Any incoming 7th, 8th or 9th grader can register. Parents and coaches are welcome to attend.
Where is the camp?
All sessions will be held at the Mill Valley practice field behind Monticello Trails Middle School – 5900 Monticello.
What do I bring to the camp?
Glove, spikes, sweatpants, hat, bat, water bottle with “your name on it”. Catchers bring gear if you own it.
