Preparing to Return to Play PreK & Kindergarten
by posted 06/01/2020

The following message was sent to 3&2 League Managers June 1, 2020

PreK & Kindergarten Coaches,

We are eager to start your league season here this month.  For kindergarten teams, we start the week of June 8th and for our T-ball teams we start the weekend of June 20th.  After progressing to Phase 3 of the state of Kansas Reopen Plan, 3&2 hosted its first practices at the park last week and games over the weekend with what we can only describe as an overwhelming sense of happiness and success by our teams, spectators, and staff.  We can’t wait to share that with each of you, and we hope to continue that momentum into the weeks and months ahead.

Couple orders of business as we re-engage in t-ball/kindergarten baseball:

Equipment.  3&2 provides equipment bags to all our teams to help assist you with practice and game needs.  We did remove the helmets from the bags this season for obvious reasons.  Please let your parents know that they need to purchase their own helmet this season. Most families do this anyway, but promoting of the sharing of equipment by the league is just not wise at this time.  Your bag will still have bases, balls, bats, and a tee (if tball) so hopefully this is helpful to you.

Action 1. If you haven’t already done so, please come out to the park anytime M-F / 8-6 this week and pickup your equipment bag.  Pickup does require a $250 deposit.  Deposit can come in the form of a check we won’t cash or a cc we won’t run unless we don’t get the equipment back.  Nothing is otherwise debited from your accounts.

Uniforms.  We have a really cool uniform program that we hope your team takes advantage of this season.  We provide you with a uniform t-shirt top and hat for all players and coaches. 3&2 and along with the University of Kansas Health System and the Kansas City Royals sponsor this program.  As such, all the uniform tops have a Kansas City Royals logo from their vintage collection and are unique color.  When you signed your team up for the program this season, you opted in or out of that program and then selected a color for your team if you opted in.  Those have been ordered, carefully packaged and sealed, and we’ve had them in our own inventory space for over a month.  They’re ready for you to pickup and issue to your team.

Action 2. If you haven’t already done so, please come out to the park anytime M-F / 8-6 this week and pickup your uniform jersey and hat.  If you have a question about whether you ordered uniforms, just ask, and we’ll look up your record.  Questions to or 913-888-8055 x 300

Quick note on schedule. Remember to consult your team’s schedule to ensure you have the latest version, as some of your games may have slightly changed due to team add/drops over the past 2-3 weeks.  To view your schedule go to and log in.  Go to Teams>Choose A Team>2020 Spring/Summer>Grade Level> League Level>Your Team.  Once you select your team, a bank of options will appear on the left hand side of the website including a Schedule option.  Click it to view your schedule.

As we return to play, a lot of parents and coaches are asking about playing guidelines.  Please consult the COVID-19 section of our website for a comprehensive set of guidance and FAQs.

Thanks for playing and we’ll see you out at one of our properties very soon.

Sincerely, Neil.
